There is hardly a person who, at one time or another, hasn’t at least
thought about not paying a credit card bill. Mortgages and other
secured loans are tougher to not pay, as that particular creditor has
the means to repossess what is technically theirs. What would credit
card company do, come and get the purchase back? What if you went out
to dinner on the card, how would they get restitution for then?
Sometimes, the will is there to pay, but the means are unfortunately
not.

It is a fact that there is nothing that a credit restoration company can do to raise your
credit score that you can’t do. You can do all of it
yourself; they have no special skills or secret “inside information”
that can relieve your credit file of negative information that is true,
no matter what they might tell you. It is illegal to remove late
payments, collections, and other types of black marks from your credit
if they are in fact, true.

years, but it’s been within the last 5 years that their popularity has
gained momentum. With new federal laws governing credit card accounts
(in order to speed up the pay-off process by raising the minimum amount

ready, for the masses will be pouring in. Minimum payments are expected
to double.

Credit repair is a very real, lucrative business, but not in the terms
that you might be associating it with. More often than not, an
individual with legitimately bad credit (i.e. late payments,
foreclosure, repossession) cannot do anything to repair their poor
credit report and score. Only inaccuracies and errors may be removed.
